This page logs every betting tip Soccer Orator has published, along with whether it won or lost, the odds at time of publication, the recommended stake (in units), and the running profit/loss for our bankroll.
We do not delete losing tips. We do not retroactively edit results. If we discover a logging error, we mark the correction visibly. See our Editorial Policy for our corrections process.

Tips published before this date have not been retroactively logged because we cannot verify the historical odds and timing with confidence. From the date above onwards, every published tip appears below.
How to read this page
- Stake (units). We treat the bankroll as 100 units. A 1-unit bet is a small tip; 3 units is our maximum stake on any single tip.
- Odds. Decimal odds taken at time of publication, sourced from a regulated bookmaker we list in our market scan.
- Result. ✅ Won, ❌ Lost, ⏸ Push (refunded), 🔄 Void (e.g., match abandoned).
- P/L. Profit or loss in units. A losing 1-unit bet returns –1.00. A winning 1-unit bet at odds of 2.00 returns +1.00. A winning 1-unit bet at 1.50 returns +0.50.
- Cumulative. Running total since the tracking start date.
- ROI. Cumulative profit divided by total units staked, expressed as a percentage. Positive ROI means the strategy is profitable.

Where this page works best is when the table is connected to a master Google Sheet. Recommended technical approach: store all tips in a single Google Sheet, then use a WordPress plugin like wpDataTables (Sheet integration), TablePress + Sheets sync, or a custom REST endpoint that reads the sheet. Manual maintenance becomes a single source of truth instead of a WordPress edit each week.
Methodology notes
- We use decimal odds throughout. Conversion to fractional or American is the reader’s responsibility — see How Football Odds Work.
- We use the odds available at time of publication from a regulated, mainstream UK or EU bookmaker. We don’t shop for the highest odds across niche sportsbooks after the fact.
- We do not include odds boosts, free bets, or promotional offers in P/L calculations — those distort the underlying performance.
- Push and void results are refunded, not counted as wins or losses.
- Cumulative is calculated as a running sum of P/L; ROI is
total P/L ÷ total stake × 100.

A note on what these numbers mean
A positive ROI over a meaningful sample (200+ tips) is genuinely difficult to achieve. It is also a long-run statistic — even profitable strategies have losing months. We report performance honestly because we’d rather you trust us than be impressed.
If our long-run ROI is negative, we will say so on this page and consider it a signal that we need to refine our approach.
